Commentary:

I’m not going to write much, I’m way too tired tonight. But I do have one thing I want to discuss:

Player A: .268/.420/.336
Player B: .270/.383/.388

Player A is first round pick, Matt Antonelli. Player B is Brian Giles. How sad is it that the current and future fortunes of the Padres ride on the shoulders of two men with phenomenal on-base skills but who neither of whom are driving the ball with any consistency? I don’t think we should be worried yet (about Antonelli). But at the same when it comes to ranking prospects, I can’t ignore it either.
