Wow!

This isn't even Padre related, but I was so amazed by it, I had to post it:

"[Ryan Kalish] has a strong, athletic body," [Boston Scouting Director, Jason McLeod] said. "I wouldn't call it a power bat, but we really think highly of his swing. He didn't swing and miss at a single pitch in high school this year. We really believe in him. He's a high-energy, confident kid."

That was an excerpt from Baseball America's Draft Dish (requires subscription) about a 9th round pick Boston signed for 2nd round money ($600,000).

All I can say is, "Wow!"
