Linebrink to the White Sox?

Ben Maller's (BenMaller.com) Rumor website links to a Chicago Tribune article pointing out that the South-Siders are another team looking for bullpen help such as "...San Diego's Scott Linebrink and Pittsburgh's Roberto Hernandez and Salomon Torres..."

The Padres have looked into the availability of Josh Fields (White Sox' AAA 3B) but were rebuffed... The ChiSox know if they want to acquire someone like Linebrink it wouldn't be cheap but are reluctant to let go of Fields. They have enough depth where they could deal other talent. I can't help but wonder if the Padres and White Sox have explored a three-trading scenario that would send Linebrink to Chicago, an un-named third baseman to San Diego, and prospects to the third team...
