How ‘bout Jaff Decker’s night? Going hitless usually excludes a hitter from this list, but this was such an unusually successful night, I had to include it if only for reasons of curiosity. While Decker couldn’t manage a hit, he got on base 3 times and stole 2 bases… Not bad for the man with a Matt Stairs comp. Oh, by the way, Matt Stairs is a career .266/.358/.484 hitter. You know, maybe that Matt Stairs comp isn’t so bad, Stairs stole as many as 23 bases as a minor leaguer…

In the first inning of the Kane County vs. Fort Wayne game, Allan Dykstra walked to load the bases… In the third inning, with Jaff Decker on third base, Dykstra walked again. In the forth inning, Dykstra hit a grand slam. In the sixth inning, Dykstra led off the inning with a double. In the eighth inning, the Kane County Cougers’ pitchers resumed their wisdom of walking Allan. He’s not having a good season, but he’s showing some power and his walk-rate is expectedly impressive and he has 9 XBH on the season.

How soon until Kevin Towers orders Grady Fuson to get Blanks (.316/.414/.558) to play games in the OF so he can send Kouzmanoff (.221/.264/.308) to the minors and call up Gigantor?
