I attended the Lake Elsinore-Inland Empire game Friday night with a buddy (regular commenter, Paul R)… Carrillo struggled for two innings while keeping the 66ers off the scoreboard… We asked some scouts near us after the first inning what kind of velocity Carrillo had and they told us, “88.” A few innings later they noted that he had bumped it up a little… He looked sharp in innings 3-5. He struck out the 66ers best hitter, Carlos Santana (.320/.426/.568) in each of their two match-ups.
Evan Scribner made his Padres debut Friday night as well. He also looked sharp…
